RD 2 The story

Tiago & Marlee

Marlee first watched Tiago at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, where he won silver at 71 kg. The scouting carried on through the 2024 World Olympic Qualifier in Bangkok, and Tiago went on to box for Mozambique at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Marlee then took him to Johnny Clark at Top Tier, and Tiago moved to Plymouth to turn pro. The debut came in Dubai in November 2025, after a camp at BOX IQ: a first-round stoppage.

Inside nine months he had won the Commonwealth Silver title at the Brentwood Centre and the IBO All-Africa title over ten rounds, with quality rounds in camp along the way, including sparring with Josh Kelly.
